As some of you may have already noticed today, when you copy your postlet HTML to craigslist, it doesn’t look quite right. Colors are wacky, backgrounds don’t show up, or a slew of other things. You might have even noticed over the past few months that link colors don’t look as nice (all standard link blue) or that addresses started showing up with %20 in them.

Unfortunately, and we’ve been trying to keep up with the changes, all these changes have been under the control of craigslist. First they started encrypting some of their variables so we could no longer post things like price and posting title. And then they started adding in %20 where spaces used to be. And then they started stripping out some code that designated color and layout. Today, they are now stripping out almost everything that basically controls the way the ad looks.

We’re working on a fix and will keep you posted. We appreciate your patience and support.

May 7th update – we have a fix in place for Real Estate, although we’ll need to do the same for Rentals. Although we don’t have as precise control over fonts and some graphical elements, the templates are pretty much what they were before. Thanks for waiting.

May 9th update – we actually had the fix in for Rentals on the 7th as well, although later in the evening, but we forgot to update our blog here. Anyway, let us know how things look.
