craigslist font colors update

Monday, November 28th, 2005

After a lot of research and testing by the team, we found a solution to the craigslist color issue, where, for example, black text was being written on a black background. As we mentioned, this only occurred on the craigslist postlets, but not on our own site because craigslist was stripping out some of our HTML code. At any rate, the solution is in place and you can use the dark colored templates safely again. Thanks for your patience, and try out the colored templates if you haven’t already!

minor template changes

Saturday, November 26th, 2005

We’ve been tweaking the templates and the “Contact Info” areas. We noticed some email addresses were pretty long and sometimes caused the template to stretch in funny ways. We also fixed up some code to properly display the “view my other postlets” link for gallery users who selected to have that displayed. Don’t know what a gallery is? Log into your account and if you have at least a few postlets, you’ll see a blurb for a free gallery to showcase your postlets. Yeah, free.

craigslist font colors

Monday, November 21st, 2005

Some of our users who use the different postlet template colors (if you haven’t, you should try them out!) might have noticed that the darker templates end up using black text that doesn’t read easily after being posted to craigslist. After some research, we discovered that craigslist is stripping out some of our text color assignments. For example, when we assign text to be white, easily viewed on a dark background, craigslist is defaulting it to black. We don’t know why they’re doing this yet, but we’re working on it.

new feature checkboxes

Monday, November 21st, 2005

From a suggestion, we’ve changed a few of our Rentals and Real Estate Property Features. One new feature is “Jacuzzi/Whirlpool” which is different than “Sauna” (used to be “Sauna/Spa”). Yes, a small change, but something good. However, if you don’t see a specific feature listed that your property has, you can add it to your postlet using the “Other Special Features” section. Lastly, you can add in any community maintenance fees to your HOA fees amount as the heading is now “HOA/Maintenance.”

starting the documentation of a journey

Monday, November 7th, 2005

How do small companies start their first blogs anyway? At any rate, here’s the first posting. I feel like we’re on a journey where we should have kept journal entries since day one, but instead we started when we realized we’re on a 20 day remaining trek and only have rations for about 4 more days. You know, to chronicle the adventures. But, don’t worry, we have more than enough rations…
